Massachusetts DPH Issues Advisory on Recalled Outshine Fruit Bars

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is advising consumers and retailers about a voluntary recall of select Outshine Fruit Bars because the products may contain glass. The recalled products were distributed nationwide and may have been sold in Massachusetts.
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. issued the recall after receiving consumer reports of glass in the product. As of August 18, 2026, no illnesses or injuries associated with the recalled products had been reported.
Products Included in the Recall
The recall includes specific batches of six-count packages of Strawberry, Grape, Watermelon, Black Cherry, and Tangerine Outshine Fruit Bars, as well as the 24-count Outshine Variety Pack.
A matching flavor or package size alone does not necessarily mean a product is recalled. Consumers should check the UPC, batch code, and best-before date printed on the bottom of the package against the information provided in the recall announcement.
What Consumers Should Do
Consumers are advised to:
- Check freezers for affected Outshine Fruit Bars.
- Confirm the UPC, batch code, and best-before date.
- Do not eat products included in the recall.
- Throw away recalled products or return them to the place of purchase.
- Contact a health care provider if there is concern about a possible injury.
No other Outshine products or varieties are included in the recall.
